Previous incarnations as a graphic designer, ad agency visualizer and animation studio artist preceded Derek’s move into commercial art, illustration and character design.

For the last few years a lot of his time has been spent illustrating the Snappy children’s books series but it hasn’t stopped him working on plenty of other interesting projects.

Derek loves the challenges of commercial art and enjoys working as part of a creative team on a broad and diverse range of subjects, formats and styles.
